Award-winning gospel artist Marvin Sapp took the stage for NPR’s Tiny Desk series, delivering an incredible 11-song medley of praise and worship in honor of Black History Month.
The performance, which dropped on NPR Music’s YouTube channel on Friday, February 28, 2025, features some of Marvin’s biggest hits from over three decades of music and ministry.
On social media, Marvin shared what this moment meant to him:
“I’m deeply honored to share that I’ll be performing on @nprmusic #tinydesk for Black History Month. This platform is more than just a stage; it’s a cultural touchstone, a place where music is stripped down to its purest form, allowing the message to hit even harder.
After 30+ years in this genre, it still humbles me that people connect with my voice, my perspective, and my melodies. Longevity in this industry isn’t guaranteed, so to still be invited into these spaces and to still have something to say that resonates—it means everything to me.
I don’t take this lightly. Trust me, this moment is going to be special. Stay tuned!”
