Originally from Miami, Wright burst on the scene with Girls Can’t Do What Guys Can do but jumped into stardom with her single “Clean Up Woman” which was a song that pushed beyond the limits of her age (She was 18 at the time). Even though she never really jumped the pop charts again she became a mainstay on R&B radio with songs like Let Me Be Your Lovemaker, Shoorah Shoorah, Tonight is The Night and Where is the Love.
