Oakland Residents now have to travel further out to shop at In-N-Out Burger as a result to the rising crime situation in Oakland. Chief Operating Officer Denny Warnick says a surge in car break-ins, property damage, theft, and armed robberies are just a few of the reasons the fast food joint’s closing its only Oakland location after nearly 2 decades in business.

The company just confirmed to me with this statement that they’re closing due to ongoing crime & despite “taking repeated steps to create safer conditions.”

According to In-N Out, the company has made persistent attempts to create a safer condition for employees and for the customers who love the burgers, but their effords didn’t make a dent in the consistent threats to safety for both employees and customers.
