Russian Embassy Claims Human Trial Of The World’s First Corona virus Vaccine Completed
Russian Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University has completed the human trials of the world’s first Coronavirus vaccine on its volunteers.
As the world races towards finding an effective and safe vaccine against coronavirus; it appears Russia is certainly winning the race. Subsequently, the Russian embassy took to its Twitter page to share the great news. “Sechenov University has successfully completed tests on volunteers of the world’s first vaccine against #COVID19. Certainly, the #vaccine is safe. The volunteers will be discharged on July 15 and July 20”; chief researcher Elena Smolyarchuk told TASS“.
To clarify, Vadim Tarasov said; “Sechenov University has successfully completed tests on volunteers of the world’s first vaccine against coronavirus.” Vadim Tarasov is the director of the Institute for Translational Medicine and Biotechnology.
The Russian university began trials on June 18 and the vaccines were produced by Russia’s Gamalei Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology.
Before this, China’s Sinovac Biotech became the latest company to start Phase III trials of its coronavirus vaccine candidate. However, this came after a fast-track approval by regulators last week. On the other hand, Sinovac has started Phase III trials in Brazil.
In other words, it’s safe to say we are winning the war against Corona Virus. Don’t you think?
