Panola County African American Wall of Fame Honors 102

The wall now has 102 Panola County African-American residents honored on the wall. Those honored have made extraordinary positive contributions to Panola County, and in some cases to the nation and to the world. The wall is lit up from 8 to 11 p.m. and open every day to visitors.

The wall is located in the Historical Cook Quarters community on MLK Boulevard and Cook Street in Carthage. Contact Omowali Lumumba at (903) 263-6698 if you know any African-American past or present resident who you feel deserves a gold star plaque on the wall of fame.
