Bill Cosby Ordered To Be Released Immediately
Today, Wednesday, June 30, 2021, Bill Cosby’s sexual assault conviction was overturned by the highest court in Pennsylvania. He is home, less than two hours after the court’s decision. According to news sources, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court had a split decision, but ultimately Cosby’s three-to-ten-year sentence was cut short. Cosby has served two years of his sentence from his conviction in 2018.
At 2:30PM ET, Cosby was released from the state prison in Shippack, Pennsylvania, where he was being held. We learned this from a corrections department spokesperson. About an hour later, he was exiting a white SUV, flashing a peace sign before walking into his home in Elkins Park, which is a Philadelphia suburb.
